Which browsers support AVIF?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Safari 16+ all display AVIF. Use a JPG fallback for very old browsers.
Why is AVIF encoding slower?
AVIF’s encoder searches harder for savings. Choose a faster speed setting for quicker results at a slightly larger size.
AVIF or WebP?
AVIF is usually smaller; WebP encodes faster and is supported slightly more widely. Both are excellent for the web.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
